Award-winning music school Aureus Academy will be opening a new branch at I12 Katong on 1st October. Students in the east who are interested in learning piano, violin, voice and guitar will be able to now take lessons with a qualified, passionate and dedicated Aureus Academy teacher.

With the addition of our newest centre at I12 Katong, Aureus Academy has a team of nearly 30 full-time teachers who hold a combined 40 Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Music, Music Performance and Music Education. In addition to this, Aureus Academy teachers tailor music lessons to the individual needs of each and every student.

Piano Lessons:

Piano lessons are Aureus Academy’s most popular instrumental course! Whether your child is 4 years old, or you are looking lessons for yourself, Aureus Academy has piano teacher that can guide you on your musical journey. Our one-to-one piano lessons are designed for each student, as Aureus Academy does not believe that “one size fits all.” You can choose whether you are interested in classical, pop, rock, jazz, or ABRSM certification. In addition to teaching complete beginners, all of our piano teachers (who hold a minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree) are able to train students from ABRSM Grade 1-Diploma. Aureus Academy has achieved a 100% pass rate for all ABRSM exams.

About the Lessons:

• All piano lessons are one-to-one
• Lessons can be 30, 45, or 60 minutes long
• Beginners use the My First Piano Adventures Course
• ABRSM Grades 1-8 and Diploma
• Students can learn piano as young as 4 years old

Guitar Lessons:

Whether you’re just starting out and strumming a few chords or shredding some gnarly solos, Aureus Academy guitar teachers can make you a Rockstar! Our lessons are tailored to each student, depending on the instrument, as all of our guitar teachers are able to teach classical, acoustic, and electric guitar. In addition to this, students are given the opportunity to learn from sheet music and guitar tabs, depending on the style of music presented.

About the Lessons:

• Lessons can be done in an individual or group setting
• Individual Lessons can be 30, 45, or 60 minutes long
• Group lessons are 45 or 60 minutes long with 3-5 people
• Acoustic, Electric or Classical guitar lessons are available
• Ukulele lessons are also available
• Students can learn guitar around 6 or 7 years old

Vocal Lessons:

Sing your heart out with vocal lessons at Aureus Academy! Our teachers are able to work with both very young children and adults, no matter what level they are. It could be a favourite Disney song or a Mozart Aria; choose the songs you’d like to learn and our teachers will tailor them based on your vocal range and help you find your own voice.

About the Lessons:

• Lessons can be done in an individual or group setting
• Individual Lessons can be 30, 45, or 60 minutes long
• Group lessons are 45 or 60 minutes long with 3-5 people
• Students can sing Pop, Classical, Jazz or Broadway
• Students can start singing from around 4-5 years old

Violin Lessons:

Aureus Academy violin teachers are able to work with young children and adults at any level. Whether you’re just starting out on Suzuki or playing a Vivaldi Violin Concerto, our teachers can help refine your bowing techniques, intonation, and phrasing. Students can choose if they would like to learn Suzuki, ABRSM and other well-known methods.
